For the sixth edition of Node, the International Electronic Music and Live Media Festival held on Friday 14th and Saturday 15th June, in the space in front of the Palazzina dei Giardini in Modena, a series of performances were staged, featuring artists from France, Finland, England, Germany and Italy, offering a panorama of emerging musical research: Forest Swords, dÉbruit (in collaboration with Suona Francese and Paris Rockin’e), Morkebla, Vladislav Delay, Frank Bretschneider, Grischa Lichtenberger and Von Tesla.

The event, organised by the Galleria Civica di Modena, curated by Filippo Aldovini and Fabio Bonetti, co-produced together with the Culture Councillorship of Modena City Council, with support from the Culture Councillorship also of the Emilia-Romagna Region, and in collaboration with VIE Scena Contemporanea Festival, the Mattatoio Culture Club and Juta Cafè, was enhanced this year by three previews around town – on 17th May at the Tube Club with the Mount Kimbie, on 28th at the Teatro delle Passioni with the Damdike Stare, and on 1st June at the Teatro Storchi with Murcof and Simon Geilfus [ANTIVJ] – as well as a finissage featuring Shigeto and Go Dugong at the Sun-Agostino on 22nd June.

Mapping Around, the video-mapping project designed especially for the Palazzina and produced by Apparati Effimeri, was also truly spectacular.
